Business development Representative

Us: Downtown Salt Lake City, VC-backed tech start-up looking for a Business Development Representative. Fast paced, high growth start-up that provides data on population movements to help guide city planning and large-scale capital development decisions.

You: You love the thrill of finding and closing new customers, and you’re good at it! You are excited to work with a small team now; and equally excited to help grow the team as we expand in the coming months and years. You have previous experience in sales and business development, with a passion for technology. You are a team player and are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone and tackle hard problems. 

Role: You will source and close the deals that will help push the company into the future. You will get to work hard with your teammates on projects you are excited about. You will get to work on cool stuff with cool people. 

Experience with the following would be a plus: 

  • Selling to government entities
  • Background in commission-based sales 
  • Familiarity with the transportation sector
  • Familiarity with local or national municipalities
  • Familiarity with start-up sales
  • RFP/RFQ experience
  • Government procurement
  • Outbound sales
  • Lead generation
  • Cold calling
