SALT LAKE CITY, UT—(June 11, 2019)- Blyncsy’s very own Director of Systems Engineering and Development, David Sacharny was one of the top presenters being a part of the Traffic Congestion Breakout Session at this year’s WASHTO 2019 Annual Conference, along with Blyncsy founder and CEO, Mark Pittman.
“Thank you WASHTO for the opportunity to present on Blyncsy’s cutting-edge jam-detection algorithm. It was great to meet all the people behind the scenes, keeping our roads safe and keeping us moving” - Dave
The presentation demonstrated a machine-learning algorithm that automatically and accurately detects congestion vs. non-congestion traffic states, using re-identification technology (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and TPMS) deployed on the roadway. The detection is sensitive to real-time traffic condition changes and can alert travelers of the upcoming congestion through variable message signs (VMS).
